Building Armies in 6mm

Volley & Bayonet is a scale independent rule system and players use a variety of scales ranging from 54mm to 2mm. Each scale has their own strengths but I decide to use 6mm. This page will, I hope, be of use to those building armies in 6mm using the Heroics & Ros range of miniatures.

The Heroics & Ros miniatures ranges are without doubt extensive. Despite that there are some armies, or wars, that are not represented within the ranges. The following articles provide suggestions that allow these armies to be modelled.

This is a collaborative project in association with my good friend Jean-Marc Largeaud. It has come about as a result of excellent website “Vendheaume Fighters” being currently unavailable due to webhosting changes.

The articles are hosted on my wargame portal “Across the Table” as part of a larger project – the full project can be found here. Only a subset of the articles, those most applicable to Volley & Bayonet, are listed below.

Seven Years War: Suggestions on how to model the British, French and Russian armies of the Seven Years War in Europe can be found here.

For those interested in uniform detail the Uniforms of the Hundred Days Campaign is an extremely useful resource.
