About this Site

Welcome to my Volley & Bayonet Website, a site dedicated to supporting the excellent Volley & Bayonet: Road to Glory rules by Frank Chadwick and Greg Novak.

My Volley & Bayonet Page first went live in 1995 a year after the rules were published and with material uploaded using dial-up internet. This of course means the site has been running for over 28 years across various web hosting platforms. During this time it has grown from small beginnings to become something of an international resource.

My aim has always been to provide a free on-line resource for players of Volley and Bayonet. To achieve this I have always been reliant on submissions from the Volley & Bayonet community which has come from players across the world. If you have something to share please consider dropping me a note.

With changes in my web hosting platform the site needed to migrate to a different home and after some consideration I selected the current provider. Porting the material has been a slow process. Much like a fine wine, such things take time. As a result not all material is on-line. If you have a particular interest in a scenario which is off-line please drop me a note and I will attempt to prioritise your request over other changes.

I am also trying to add new content to ensure the site remains topical. Hopefully you will see regular updates and among them you find items of interest.

On a personal note I live in New Zealand and I am fortunate that I have an active local Volley & Bayonet group. Across our wider group we use a range of figure scales including 28mm, 15mm, 6mm and even 2mm. The rules work well irrespective of miniature scale and I happily use different figure scales. That said my own miniature collection is in 6mm so there could well be additional representation of figures in this scale on this site.

Finally, I encourage you to interact with the various posts that are made here. Leave a comment or even a “Like”. In this way you contribute to the site and help ensure a vibrant on-line Volley & Bayonet community is fostered. It may even encourage people to submit more material.
